TRIGGER SLAVE RSU-N NIK CONNECTOR

TRIGGER SLAVE RSU-N NIK CONNECTOR

The Remote Slave Unit (RSU) is a very sensitive microprocessor-controlled photosensor that triggers underwater strobes over large distances. It is most interesting for creative areas such as pool, wreck and cave photography.

More information

Unlike the Digital Adapter, the RSU doesn't have TTL functionality. It does not work with active preflashes. For that reason, an additional external strobe is usually necessary to suppress the TTL preflashes of most digital cameras. Under near-perfect conditions, underwater distances of more than 25 meters can be covered with the RSU system.

All underwater strobes (TTL and non TTL) with 5 pin Nikonos connector work, given they are equipped with a strobe ready signal of at least 4 Volts on the connector to power the RSU. The trigger voltage can be up to 30 Volts. We provide instructions on how to measure the voltages on request.
