Multiple filters for perfect color.
As hardcore GoPro users, we discovered that capturing the best underwater color requires the use of multiple filters. After hundreds of hours of testing, we've perfected a multi-filter system and integrated it into our world-renowned FLIP design. The all new Backscatter FLIP9 gives you multiple filters at the flip of one finger. Optimal color has never been so easy! 

New depth ratings for the shallow and dive filters
As GoPro has come out with new cameras through the years, there have been some white balance and color shifts among models of cameras. The Shallow Filter's new depth range is 10-25 feet, and the Dive Filter depth range is 25-80. We recommend using lights without filters for scenes 80 feet or deeper.

Snap lock a lens or filter with just one finger.
The hinged design of the Backscatter FLIP10 offers the ultimate solution for above and below water shooting. Other designs use internal gel filters that require you to break the factory sealed lens and can't be removed for above water shooting. Other press-on filters can be removed, but are easily lost or damaged and frequently require multiple hands to install. Filters on the FLIP10 can be flipped out of the way with just one finger and lock into on / off positions with a positive snap.

For those users that have filters from previous Flip systems, it is possible to use the older filter design on the FLIP10. However, the ergonomic tab makes it much easier to flip filters out of the way. We do not recommend using older filters for anyone wearing gloves with the FLIP10. The new FLIP10 filter design is 100% backwards compatible from Hero11 to 5.
