Accessories [All] → Snoots
The snoot directs and concentrate the strobe light, or lamp light, to a smaller and specific spot. It is a popular tool among macro photographers to isolate the subject from the background or to create a dramatic lighting. Snoots may also be used directing light into a wider scene.
Snoot macro setup
Photographers often mount the strobe with a snoot in a central position above the housing using a hotshoe arm. It takes some practise to get the strobe in the right position. A strong target light on your strobe can guide you to angle the strobe correctly.
