GUIDELINES - WET LENSES
from exposureunderwater.com
A lens is a piece of optical glass. A wet lens can be applied onto your port or underwater housing while you are diving. This makes it possible to change from normal to wide or macro during the same dive. We are glad to support you with market leading products and advice.
A wet lens takes into account of the thin layer of water between the port and the lens, to deliver optimal quality and sharpness throughout the frame. Naturally, some lenses use a higher quality optical element, which raises the final price for you. They vary in size, weight, shape, contrast, sharpness, vignetting, corner sharpness, fringing and more. Not all lenses are created equal and not every lens is intended for all housings, or all photographers for that matter. With all this in mind contact us for advice on which type of wet lens will suit your underwater rig.
