Video underwater was suddenly something for everyone with the GoPros entering the market. Super-small, easy to mount anywhere, fixed focus and a wide lens. Today's better sensors, image stabilizing and other great features make action camera better than ever.

Popular action cameras

GoPro is by far the most used action brand, but many other brands are knocking on the door such as Insta360, DJI and Sony.

Filter & close-up lens

The most popular item to enhance your GoPro underwater videos is a red filter, and sometimes users have a couple of different colours for different depths. The filters help the camera to record all the great colours found on coral reefs. We recommend a flip filter that is easy "flip" in front of the cameras lens when needed. You can even add a small macro lens that can be flipped in front of the lens when a subject is small to be able to go close and still record a sharp video.

Other accessories

A dedicated underwater housing enable you to take the camera a bit deeper. There are plastic housings for regular diving depths, and metal housings for deep diving below 40 meters. You can get steady footage when mounting the camera on a tray with a single pistol grip, or a tray with double handle grip. A small video light for vivid colours on subjects close to the camera, and a box or bag where camera and accessories are safe and all in one place.
