For the first time since the YS-D250, the YS-D130R features a circular flash tube, delivering uniform, natural illumination that wraps smoothly around your subject.The color temperature is precisely calibrated to 5600K, perfectly matching natural sunlight, and remains stable even when using the included diffuser or dome diffuser.When shooting close to fish, the circular catchlight appears as a natural circle in their eyes, bringing out depth and expression for more vibrant underwater portraits.

02. Features RC Mode officially certified by OM Digital Solutions Corporation

The YS-D130R supports RC Mode of the OM SYSTEM Wireless RC Flash System by OM Digital Solutions. Flash output can be precisely controlled via digital light signals from the camera, enabling accurate exposure control. When paired with a compatible camera, this feature provides a more comfortable and seamless underwater shooting experience.

03. LCD Display for a Remarkably Enhanced User Experience

The YS-D130R features a digital LCD display that shows key information at a glance, including battery level, flash mode, and EV value. Shooting modes and settings are clearly indicated with icons and numbers, ensuring excellent visibility even in dark underwater conditions or at night.

During shooting, the display offers four patterns in flash mode, easily navigated via the mode and select dials. All modes and settings appear digitally on the LCD, allowing smooth, user-friendly customization to match your shooting style and camera.

04. Dedicated Lithium-ion Battery and Dual Power System

The YS-D130R can be powered by a high-energy lithium-ion battery pack or by versatile AA batteries (NiMH or alkaline), giving you maximum flexibility. The dedicated lithium-ion pack enables fast recycling, supporting high-speed continuous shooting and High-Speed Sync (HSS)—letting you capture every fleeting moment without missing a shot.

05. Newly Equipped with HSS(High-Speed-Sync) Mode

Normally, a strobe can only sync with the camera’s shutter at speeds up to 1/200 s or 1/250 s (depending on the camera). With HSS, the YS-D130R can fire at shutter speeds faster than the camera’s normal sync limit.
Instead of a single burst of light, the strobe emits rapid, continuous pulses, ensuring the shutter fully exposes the scene without curtain clipping. The result is even, consistent illumination across the entire subject, even at high shutter speeds.

06. All-New Battery Cap Design

A completely redesigned waterproof structure moves the sealing surface from the cap to the strobe body itself—minimizing the risk of water intrusion when opening or closing. The battery is now secured inside the strobe, preventing accidental drops during handling and making operation safer and more dependable in any diving environment.

07. DS-TTL Mode

DS-TTL is SEA&SEA’s advanced automatic exposure control system that detects the camera’s pre-flash signal—emitted either from the built-in flash or the flash system inside the housing—and automatically adjusts the strobe’s output accordingly.
It supports multiple pre-flash timing and tuning patterns, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of camera systems while delivering stable exposure and precise synchronization.

With DS-TTL, you can simply connect the strobe to your digital SLR camera—no complex setup required. The flash follows the camera’s TTL control in real time, providing natural, well-balanced lighting for every shot.

The YS-D130R improves on previous models with enhanced pre-flash detection and precise flash timing, delivering stable and accurate autoexposure every time.
Setup is simple: just match the flash mode to your camera and the channel of the housing’s sync system. The LCD panel clearly guides you through the settings.

08. Fast Recycling Time & Rapid-fire capability

When paired with the proprietary lithium-ion battery (SB-L02), the YS-D130R achieves a recycle time of just 0.8 seconds at full output. Charging completes in under one second, so you’ll never miss a shot, even during fast-paced action.
This rapid recycling also enhances continuous shooting performance, allowing 5–10 frames per second for more than 10 seconds (-3EV). Ideal for wildlife and underwater photography, the YS-D130R ensures you capture every decisive moment without interruption.

09. Enhanced Target Light

The adoption of a circular flash tube allows the target light to be positioned at the center of the illumination area, ensuring accurate, misalignment-free lighting on your subject.
The included diffuser features a red filter at its center, making it ideal for photographing light-sensitive marine life. The target light intensity can be easily adjusted in five steps: 5%, 10%, 20%, and 25%, providing precise control for any shooting situation.

10. User-Customizable

Customizable Settings to Match Your Shooting Style The YS-D130R offers a wide range of customization options, allowing you to tailor the flash operation to your personal preferences and shooting environment.

・Target light brightness can be set to 5%, 10%, 20%, 25%, or 50%.
・The beep sound can be turned on or off.
・The LCD display orientation can be inverted depending on the mounting position of the strobe.
・Sleep mode can be set to OFF, 5 min, 10 min, 30 min, or 60 min.
・Auto power-off can be set to OFF, 5 min, 10 min, 30 min, or 60 min.
・The EV step adjustment for Manual, RC, TTL, and HSS modes can be set to 0.3EV, 0.5EV, or 1.0EV.

11. Manual Mode

The YS-D130R offers two manual flash types to match different camera systems:

• MANUAL-P: With pre-flash cancellation
• MANUAL-N: Without pre-flash cancellation
