Fiber optic cables
To fire an underwater strobe a cable is used to connect your underwater housing with your strobe. One advantage with optical cables is that the connections to housing and strobe is unfloodable. Trigging strobes through an optic cable is done by a trigger, TTL Converter or by the internal strobe of a camera.
Electrical sync cables
The electrical sync cable is another solution commonly used by for example Ikelite underwater housings. Then the triggering is done through a sync cable from camera to strobe.
