Why do you need a trigger? Triggers (and TTL converters) trigger your external strobe through an optical cable. When using a trigger it is also possible to shoot fast, many frames per second, as long as you set the external strobe with an output that can keep up the pace. One great advantage with a trigger compared to use and "internal camera strobe" is that your camera battery last much longer.
Which trigger or TTL converter is compatible to your camera?
In each product it is stated which camera and which strobe it is compatible. Certain products are compatible with any camera but only specific strobes and the other way around.
