About the underwater drone Dory

The Dory is designed as much for pleasure as for utility. Equipped with a camera that records video in full HD (1080p), light-sensitive optics, built-in LED lights and the capacity to dive down to 15 meters, this is the right thing for you who do not have a diving certificate but still want to be able to experience and document what going on below the water surface! 
Dory is also ideal for boat clubs and boat owners who need to be able to inspect ports, piers and boat hulls without the cost skyrocketing.

Chasing Dory weighs only 1.3 kg and is easy to use. It is controlled with an app in the user's mobile phone and shows what the drone's camera sees in real time. It is even possible to split the handling on two phones, so that one user controls the drone while another handles the camera! The picture and control signals are delivered wirelessly using WiFi between the mobile phone and a floating signal buoy, which in turn keeps in touch with Dory via a 15 meter long, durable cable. The buoy also functions as a storage station for the video files and also has a built-in GPS that registers the drone's position and alerts if it disappears from sight.

Lockable diving depth and diving angle

Five propellers control Dory's movements in the water; two are used for lateral propulsion / steering laterally and three for adjusting dive depth and dive angle. The propeller set and a special function in the smart software means that you can lock the drone at a +/- 45 degree angle. In this way, the camera can be left pointing downwards towards the bottom or upwards towards a ship's hull while it is moving. Dory also has a deep lock so that it can be set to hover stably at a certain diving depth. 
The special Chasing Dory app is available for both iOS and Android. Among the features are 19 built-in filters for different image effects and the opportunity to share the experience on social media.
